A big part of our mission is to heal children who have been traumatized by others. A letter from a mom of 2 of the hundreds of children (names removed --) we serve each year makes us realize the gratitude in their hearts. The Friends are honored to be able to enhance and enrich the lives of our Maui children who have suffered abuse and or neglect. Letters like this make us realize the importance of the work we do.
Mahalo to Noreen who for years has been quilting these amazing hand-made quilts for the children we serve. When a child receives one of these it is amazing to watch them wrap themselves in them with a sense of security. She has and continues to show all of us the true meaning of giving.
Maui Starbucks stores once again are assisting our at-risk and in-need families with diapers and wipes. The Friends are so grateful for their continuous support to enhance and enrich the lives of those in need.
